This is my second RS2 charger. I have used the RS2 on my boat through harsh midwest winters to the blistering hot summers with no issues at all for over a year now. Always keeps the batteries topped off and charges them quickly. Dual Pro has a great customer service and their technical team is top notch. You can extend the leads on this charger with no issue. Added 2 more batteries for a 36 volt trolling motor upgrade so needed another 2 bank charger. The RS2 can be used on 12/24/36 volt systems as it will regulate the voltage to 12 volts that it sees on the battery it is hooked to/charging.

This product recharges my wife's iPhone 4 with no problem. One downside - it does not have enough juice to charge an iPad. It would benefit from some indication of the percentage charge of the battery. Also, the LED light is VERY bright.

I bought product for my cousin who is stationed in Afghanistan. After the 6 week process of receiving the solar charges and sending it to Afghan it did not work. Not even once and it was not cheap.

This product never says that it comes with a charger, and it does not. It comes with adapters to use with your normal laptop charger, I did the research before making my purchase and learned this fact. Now I like to go on long road trips so I wanted this extra battery power. The previous reviewer said nothing good about the product and it was obvious that they didn't know what they were buying when they bought it. The product works great exactly how it says it will. Mine was not damaged at all when I received it, and had it been I would have assumed like a rational person that the shipping company was at fault. Ignore Vsoliveira for their ignorant review.

The last update for my wife's phone (Droid 2) caused issues with it, so we ended up upgrading her to the just released droid razor. At the verizon store with corporate discount (military) while buying a new phone we walked out the door with the dock for only $149...pretty hard to pass on. The first one had video issues, but took it back to the store, verified we had a good one in the store, and took it home, makes a great little netbook/webbook as others have said, plus being grandfathered in with an unlimited data along with the 4G LTE makes for a pretty sweet experience/not having to pay additional for access/tether... yet getting a near full web browsing experience.

I bought this with very little information on it as these can't generally be found in stores and they aren't popular enough to have many reviews online. When I received it I was very pleased by the hardware. The unit is very polished looking and feels pretty solid. I was disappointed when I went to connect my phone. A 5 or 6 inch cable pulls off the back that you then connect to the micro USB and HDMI ports on your phone. What disappointed me though was the tray that rather inelegantly slides out to hold your phone. There is a piece of plastic that pulls up and clamps down to hold your phone in place, though not very securely. Opening the lid turns the unit on which takes several seconds. The only program that runs on the Webtop is Firefox. You have a small window the same size as your phone where you can run Android. It does expand to full screen, but merely stretches the window rather than taking advantage of the higher resolution screen. If you have your phone in portrait mode it will of course pillar box the screen, you can switch to landscape, but keep in mind that there are a large numbers of apps that do not support landscape mode and will open sideways in landscape. I tried to compensate for the stretched resolution by zooming out, but then discovered that there was no way to zoom on Webtop. I looked over all the keys on the keyboard. I gestured on the touchpad. I read the 3 page user manual. I searched the internet. It seemed there is no way to zoom out on a spreadsheet…

The battery doesn't fit on the slot... You have to force it but would break it though didn't happen to me. I didn't do it. The thing I did was throw it away leaving those cables to be useful in other things (recycle)

This thing is great. Take it with you on a trip and you can make a computer out of any TV with and HDMI port. Add a mouse and flex keyboard for easy use and just leave the laptop home. Much easier when you surrender you freedom for that false security at the airport. Stream Netflix for entertainment, use the browser to look up things to do and locations.Then at home set it up next to your bed for an alarm/clock plus the above. Then when in bed you decide to grab it and play a game. You can just reach over to put your phone on it, but you can't do that with one hand. So, then you have to roll over and lean up to use both hands because the engineer forgot the basic first step to each time you use the dock. Getting it on there. The first problem is really the phone design since it has the ports on the top making it almost impossible to use while charging the phone, but moving passed the phone design flaw. You get to the docks. The phone will not go on unless both plugs are lined up. When you reach over with one hand and try to press it on to the ports it won't go because they have nothing keeping that end of the phone pressed into the dock. The second hand is need to push the phone face down so the ports line up. If they would have put a tab on the face of the ports arm to guide the phone in tight it would work with one hand. Took this on a backpacking trip in July with my 3g iPhone and I was the envy of my camp mates. I did "opportunity charging" any time we stopped, including typically about 1 hour for lunch in full sun and was able to keep the phone battery adequately charged (Note to iPhone users: DON'T plan on running power hungry GPS apps all day unless you plan to allocate a fair amount of charging time during peak sun hours). I found that I could get a reasonable amount of charge in (about 1/4 full) even if I started when we started to make camp at 5:00 pm.Driving home, I was even surprised to find that the phone charged (albeit at a slow rate) with the panel on my dashboard. I would have given it 5 stars but had a problem with the particular item I bought, and am not yet sure whether it is a one-time or persistent issue. I bought this item along with about 6 or 7 other solar chargers to test with my HTC desire. most chargers are not listed as specifically compatible with the regular HTC desire, only later models (the S, Z, or 2), although the amps and other electrical technicalities are the same. This charger was one of the few I found with a mini USB tip. It has lights on the back that indicate how full the charge is, which is nice and something many other solar chargers lack. It was super light-weight and initially charged very fast from the sun, whereas when other models arrived, they said they took up to 19 hrs to charge by the sun. this one took maybe 4 hours and appeared to be mostly full (I apologize but I forgot to pay attention to the lights that indicate fullness). It also charged my phone very fast, approximately 25% in under an hour (then my phone was fully charged and I didn't have any other mini usb items to test how much charging capacity was available, but the charger was not fully drained). It would be very convenient for carrying around in one's car or purse. Worked great! Comes with a Micro HDMI cable and a power adapter. Works with Siig Wireless Multi-touch Keyboard and Touchpad (USB dongle). Recognizes 120GB Hitachi USB Drive. Able to watch video files (.VOB). Webtop is OK but not that great. I will keep using this dock until Motorola comes out a Lapdock 200 or something that is better than Lapdock 100 (and Lapdock 500.)

I received my K3 a couple of weeks ago and have used it pretty much nonstop ever since. I charge my Android phone with it every day, and can get a bit of a charge on my kindle with it as well. It stops charging the Kindle after about five minutes but will resume charging it if you plug it back in. It will charge my phone all the way without pause every time.I took it on a business trip to Canada last week and was able to get a continuous charge by propping it up by the air conditioning vent in the hotel so the windmill spun continously day and night. I would put it on the windowsill in the afternoon to get a solar charge as well. The charge meter never dropped below the third light (out of four) the entire trip despite being used to charge my phone and the AA batteries for my mouse (via a USB battery charger).If you do any sort of traveling or have anything that can be charged by USB this is a very useful prodcut to own.
